
Railway Minister briefs PM on Tezgam train accident

Prime Minister Imran Khan made a telephone call to Minister for railway Sheikh Rasheed.
According to details, the Prime Minister announced to pay Rs 5 lakh per person to the relatives of the deceased of the Tezgam train accident.
Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed informed the Prime Minister about the preliminary report of the Tezgam train accident and said that the accident occurred due to the gas cylinder explosion, I will submit the report of the accident soon, the railway minister stated
The Prime Minister directed Sheikh Rasheed to provide immediate assistance to the relatives of those who lost their lives and also to provide excellent medical care to those who got injured in the accident.
The Prime Minister also directed to complete the investigation of the accident as soon as possible and said that those responsible for the accident should be dealt with according to the law and accountability should also be initiated in the railway to prevent incidents.

It is to be noted that, Tezgam train, which was on its way from Karachi to Rawalpindi, caught fire near Tanori Station Chak no. 6 Chani Goth, yesterday.
dozens have reportedly been wounded, whereas, 71 have been confirmed dead after 3 bogies of Tezgam train caught fire near Liaquatpur.
Rescue teams arrived at timely basis and moved the injured to Liaquatpur hospital.
Prime Minister condoles loss of lives in Tezgam train fire mishap.
Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid blamed the passengers for bringing stoves into the train, saying Railways was not at fault.
The coach where the cylinder blasted was booked by the Taleeghi Jamaat’s men. They were boiling eggs on the gas stove to have breakfast when it exploded with a huge blast.
