
Street crimes rise at alarming rate in Karachi

Alarmingly situation of street crimes in the City of Quaid, Karachi.
According to the latest report of the Citizens Police Liaison Committee (CPLC), Karachi’s crime rate has increased despite the frequent operations carried out by police and Rangers.
CPLC has released Karachi crime statistics for October 2019.
According to data released by the CPLC, the mobile phone snatching in the city has increased by 40 percent over the past year.
In addition, motorcycle lifting increased by 22% while car lifting incidents increased by 74%.
According to CPLC data, citizens have been deprived from 4,000 859 mobile phones this month while 2,898 incidents of stolen motorcycles were reported.
In addition, 138 vehicles of the citizens were also snatched from different areas of the city.
This month, 33 incidents of murder and six extortion cases also became part of the police record, while one abduction case was also reported.
