Provincial Minister for Industries & Trade Mian Aslam Iqbal has said that those who ruled the country during the last 40 years would be held accountable. Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) government has adopted zero tolerance against corruption and Prime Minister Imran Khan has struggled for this purpose for the last many years.

Those who looted the poor masses, should be treated like thieves and dacoits. We have no personal brawl with anyone but struggling only for the protection of rights of people. Scandals of money laundering are exposing of so-called ‘khadim-e-alla’ who deceived the people by wearing curving hat and long shoes.

He expressed these views while talking to media after inauguration of water filtration plant at Ladies Park Gulberg, here today. This plant was installed with the collaboration of Water AID, Pepsi Cola and WASA. Provincial Minister said that clean drinking water is the basic right of every citizen and Punjab government is giving this right by installing water filtration all over the Punjab. Water Authority is also being set up and necessary legislation is being made in this regard.

He said that underground water level is falling rapidly and it is need of the hour to value it. It is said that the next wars will be fought on water instead of oil which is not incorrect. Mian Aslam Iqbal said that 300 billion rupees are spent on Orange Line Metro Train Project, it will be better if this hefty amount will be spent on the construction of state-of-the-art hospital where Sharif family could get treatment.

This huge amount can also be spent on the construction of educational and health institutions for the provision of quality educational and health facilities to the poor masses. The scandals of corruption and getting commission in this project will also come on surface soon. You have not done corruption of a penny but billions of rupees and you should have to return this money
