SC Accepts Nawaz’s plea to review Judge Video Case verdict

Supreme Court of Pakistan on Monday has accepted former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s request for seeking review of the Aug 23 order which held that the video clip concerning former accountability court judge Mohammad Arshad Malik will only benefit the petitioner if its genuineness is established.

Headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Asif Saeed Khosa, the SC bench comprises Justice Sardar Tariq Masood and Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah.

The review petition pleads that the Aug 23 verdict of the apex court was per incuriam since it was passed without jurisdiction and, therefore, merits to be reviewed.

The court remarked that, Judges do not do injustice to anyone, Islamabad High Court should find its own way, The Islamabad High Court is free to make its decision,
