Unidentified men kidnapped a young girl, Dua Mangi, and shot her friend, Haris Fatah, in Karachi’s D.H.A Bukhari Commercial area on Saturday.
The incident took place at around 8pm on a secluded road near an open-air Dhaba in Bukhari Commercial area. The kidnapped girl, Dua Mangi, was taking a walk with her friend, Haris when 4 to 5 armed men forced the girl get in their vehicle. When her friend Haris showed resistance, they shot him and sped off with Dua.
Soon after the kidnapping incident, various people posted on social media, informing the public and the concerned authorities of the incident. An FIR has already been registered at Clifton’s Darakshan Police Station against unidentified men on behalf of the injured man’s father, Abdul Fatah.

Haris is in critical condition after he was shot while Dua Mangi is still missing

Dua’s family took social media for help

Senior police officials, including district south operations and investigations SSPs, also reached the crime scene and have launched an investigation into the incident.
District South police chief SSP Sheraz Nazeer told The News that the police have only one witness in this case, and they are also trying to obtain the CCTV footage of the crime scene to trace and arrest the suspected kidnappers.
The injured person in his initial statement told the police that they were on their way to Bara Bukhari when four men in a car abducted his friend and fled after shooting him. SSP Nazeer said the boy was shot in the neck which penetrated into his chest.
The doctors were trying to save his life while the parents of both the youngsters have been informed about the incident.
The police were also looking to record the statements of the families and friends for any possible clues about the abductors.
