Pakistan’s young fast bowler Naseem Shah hits a hat-trick in the Test match against Bangladesh.

Bangladesh scored 126 for six at the end of the third day, Bangladesh needed 86 more runs to end Pakistan’s lead.

Shah’s hat trick also ended Pakistan’s 18-year-old Test hat-trick drought.

According to the details, Shah first trapped Najmul Hossain Shanto, a decision that was overturned after Pakistan went for a DRS. The 16-year-old pacer then sent Taijul Islam and Mahmudullah back to the pavilion on successive deliveries to complete his hat-trick.

Prodigal Pakistani fast-bowler Naseem Shah has become the youngest cricketer to take a Test hat-trick after he achieved the feat against Bangladesh in the second innings on day three of the one-off Test at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

It is the first Test hat trick by a Pakistani in 18 years. The last one was taken by Mohammad Sami in 2002 against Sri Lanka.

Naseem’s efforts have given Pakistan a firm control over the Test match with Bangladesh still trailing by 86 runs at the stumps of the third day’s paly.

PM welcomes Bangladesh cricket team in Pakistan

Earkier on Saturday, Prime Minister Imran Khan welcomed the Bangladesh cricket team, which is currently touring Pakistan to play a two-test series of World Test Championship to the joys and excitement of this cricket savvy nation.

Prime Minister Imran Khan, the former skipper of the 1992 World Cup triumphant Pak cricket team, on his twitter account also expressed his satisfaction over the return of long format of cricket to the country.

“I welcome the Bangladesh cricket team to Pakistan and the resumption of test cricket in Pakistan,” he posted on his Twitter account.
