
UN Chief Antonio Guterres is all praise for Pakistan’s first ever UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador Mahira Khan .
Pakistan’s first-ever UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador, Mahira Khan met UN Chief during his visit to Pakistan.
The UN chief, who is in Pakistan on a four-day visit, held meeting with Mahira Khan and UN Refugee Agency officials on Monday evening.
Later, Antonio took to Twitter saying “As we mark 40 years of Pakistan’s solidarity with Afghan refugees, it was a pleasure to meet @Refugees, Goodwill Ambassador @TheMahiraKhan”.

“I thank her and all Pakistanis for their extraordinary support,” he added.
In November last year, Mahira Khan was named as the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees’ (UNHCR) Goodwill Ambassador for Pakistan.
On the other hand The UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has underlined the need to equip new generation with modern technologies besides bringing changes in curriculum.
Speaking at a dialogue of a university in Lahore on Tuesday, he said youth will have an important role at the world body in 21st century.
The UN Chief said we will also have to take decision in the context of climate changes as the increasing pollution is the biggest issue.
He also emphasized on dialogue between institutions.
