Gold prices in Pakistan drops by Rs 400 to Rs: 89,500 per tola in the domestic market on 17th March 2020. The price of 10 grams of gold drops by Rs 342. The new price of 10 grams of gold has reached Rs 76731.

Gold prices in international market are also on the downward trend as investors continued to sell assets across markets to keep their money in cash amid panic over the novel coronavirus pandemic.

In international markets Spot gold slipped 0.2% to $1,511.30 per ounce.

Managing Director International Monetary Fund (IMF) Kristalina Georgieva on Monday said 20 more countries had asked for aid as the outbreak shuts economic activity, and she called for strong, coordinated fiscal stimulus to limit the damage.
