Isolation wards established all over Pakistan to cater COVID-19

The Prime Minister house has informed on Friday about the isolation centers all over the Pakistan to deal with coronavirus cases.

Earlier today, Sindh government has issued a list of isolation wards established in the province for coronavirus patients.

A total of 9 isolation wards have been established in Sindh, Pakistan People’s Party leader Senator Murtaza Wahab said in a statement released on social networking site Twitter.

Isolation wards have been established at Civil Hospital Karachi, Lyari General Hospital, Dow Ojha Campus, Liaquat Medical Hospital Hyderabad, Liaquat Medical Hospital Jamshoro.

In addition, Isolation wards have been set up at People’s Medical Hospital Benazir Abad, Chandka Hospital Larkana and GIMS Khairpur.

Senator Murtaza Wahab said that one hundred twenty beds hospital has been completely converted to isolation ward while another one hundred beds hospital has been converted to quarantine.

The number of confirmed cases of novel coronavirus ‘COVID-19’ infections in Pakistan has risen to 20.

Gilgit-Baltistan has reported its second patient on Wednesday.

Karachi has the worst affected city so far, with 15 of the total confirmed cases.

Two cases had reported in Gilgit-Baltistan and one case has been reported each in Islamabad, Hyderabad and Quetta.

Furthermore, globally, the virus has killed more than 4,500 people and infected over 124,000.
