Nation paid tribute to PAF wing commander Noman Akram over embracing “martyrdom” for the motherland.
F-16 became top trend on twitter after PAF jet crashed in Shakrparian areas in Islamabad while doing rehearsal for March 23rd, Pakistan Day parade.
People praised his bravery by sharing his videos and pictures on social media, saying that “martyred never dies”.
Wing commander Noman Akram embraced “Shahadat” after Pakistan Air Force’s F-16 aircraft crashed in Islamabad during the rehearsals of 23rd March parade.
According to a PAF spokesman, Wing Commander Noman Akram embraced martyrdom in the incident.
“Pakistan Air Force reports with regret that a PAF F-16 aircraft crashed near Shakarparian, Islamabad during the rehearsals of 23rd March parade,” said the statement. “Moreover A board of inquiry has been ordered by the Air Headquarters to determine the cause of accident”.
Rescue teams have been dispatched towards the site of the PAF jet crash, he said.

Journalist Yashfeen Jamal shared a clip of interview with Noman Akram in which he was seen determined to sacrifice his life for Pakistan.
She wrote that Noman was a humble, professional and focused personality who devoted himself to serve the nation.

She added: “He was true to his word that if needed he would gladly lay down his life for this Country.
May Allah grant him the highest place amongst the Shuhda, and grant his family Sabr to bear this loss. This is a small clip from the programme we recorded with his Sqn”.
Wing Commander Nouman Akram was awarded the coveted Sher Afgan Trophy for being the best marksman in the competition.
