Pakistan stock exchange (PSX) experienced a bearish trend as KSE 100 index closed at 39,199.68. The index loses 96 points from 39,296.30 with a negative change of 96.62 points.
Today a total of 225,275,610 shares were traded whereas 215,251,320 shares were traded yesterday. The total value of the shares traded is 8.763 billion whereas yesterday the total value of the shares traded was to Rs 9.06 billion.
A total of 361 companies’ shares were transacted in the Stock Market, out of these 167 recorded gain and 176 recorded losses. The share price of 18 companies remained unchanged
The top traded companies were Maple Leaf with a total volume of 20,914,500 shares and price/share of Rs 26.09, Unity Foods Limited with a total volume of 20,499,500 and price/share of Rs 13.73 and Hascol petroleum Limited with a total volume of 19,161,000 and price/ share of Rs 19.38 .
The Pak Tobacco saw the maximum increase of Rs 49.99 per share, closing at Rs 1746.99 followed by Sanofi-Aventis which was up with an increase of Rs 45.36 per share, closing at Rs 693.36.
Philip Morris Pak observed maximum decrease of Rs 169.96 per share, closing at Rs 2258.04 while Unilever Foods’ share prices decreased by Rs 90 per share closing at Rs 7310.
