Chairman of Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman said that coronavirus  lockdown will not apply on mosques from today, mosques will remain opened with precautionary  measures.

While doing a joint press conference along with the scholars of various schools of thoughts at Karachi Press Club, Mufti Muneeb said “we cannot afford to close mosques and madrassas for so long.”

He added that the during Ramadan taraweeh prayer and Itikaf will continue in the mosques.

He said that the British government provided facilities to the citizens. If the government does not take steps, it will lose the confidence of the people.

During the press conference Mufti Taqi Usmani said that all the scholars from all school of thoughts held a meeting in Darul Uloom Karachi, the spread of the Coronavirus is a test for mankind and it is our responsibility to help those affected by the lockdown.

There will be uniform policy in the country during Ramadan, Noorulhaq Qadri

He said that it is necessary for a Muslim to pray in Ramadan so mosques will be open with precautionary measures.

Mufti Taqi Usmani further said that sick people should be performed prayers at homes, remove carpets from mosques and ensure availability of sanitizers.

He says that all people should do ablution on their houses of  and wear masks. After prayer, people should be careful and avoid crowding.

Mufti Taqi demanded government to immediate release those who were arrested during lockdown.

It is to be noted that the federal government has extended the lockdown to two more weeks today to prevent the spread of the Corona virus, but has allowed the construction sector to function.
