Former national cricket team captain Saleem Malik has requested the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to give him a second chance like Sharjeel Khan and Mohammad Amir so that he can serve Pakistan cricket.

In his video message, Saleem Malik said that Inzamam-ul-Haq and Saqleen Mushtaq said positive words about his batting and captaincy for which he is grateful to them, he also felicitated Dr. Noman, Shoaib Akhtar and Rashid Latif for their support.

Saleem Malik said that he was cleared by the honorable court in 2008 but after that whenever he tried in terms of coaching etc. he was not being considered.

“I want to serve Pakistan and teach young players whatever skills Allah has given me,” the skipper said.

He said that a few players including Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Asif, Salman Butt and Sharjeel Khan, all of whom represented Pakistan in domestic cricket and PSL as well.

“Only I was completely ignored, I request the Pakistan Cricket Board to give me a chance to return to cricket like Aamir, Salman Butt and Sharjeel,” Malik said.

The former cricketer said that he wanted to serve Pakistan by coaching at any level and urged Chairman Cricket Board Ehsan Mani to him a chance to serve the country.

It is to be noted that recently the former captain of the national team Inzamam-ul-Haq said about  Saleem Malik on his YouTube channel and supported him for giving him another chance.

Inzamam had said that Saleem Malik was a great player, it is unfortunate that his career ended this way and it should have ended better.

“I believe that Saleem Malik deserves a second chance to do something for the country,” he said.
