The residence and workplace of the President of the United States White House has unfollowd Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on twitter.
According to media reports, the White House has unfollowed the Twitter accounts of Indian embassy in US, the Indian Prime Minister, Prime minister house and the Indian President.
Indian Congress chief Rahul Gandhi reacted on this and wrote on Twitter “I’m dismayed by the “unfollowing” of our President & PM by the White House. I urge the Ministry of External Affairs to take note.”
Three weeks ago, White house Twitter handle started following Narendra Modi Twitter account but now it has unfollowed it.
It is pertinent to mention here Earlier this month Modi and Trump held a telephone conversation about hydroxychloroquine export.
In a press briefing while giving one of the answers Trump stated ” I spoke to him (Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi), Sunday morning & I said we appreciate it that you are allowing our supply (of anti-malaria drug Hydroxychloroquine) to come out, if he doesn’t allow it to come out, that would be okay, but of course, there may be retaliation, why wouldn’t there be?”
Trump threatened Modi of retaliation if India will not allow the export of chloroquine after that India has allowed the export of the anti-malaria drug hydroxychloroquine.
