Seven more policemen and officers on duty on the front line have been infected by coronavirus.

According to details, seven policemen, including DSP Traffic Naeem Cheema, who was on duty at the front line, contracted the coronavirus. After the corona test came positive, DSP Naeem Cheema quarantined himself at home.

A police spokesman said that several Coronavirus victims were on duty at various quarantine centers, adding that Coronavirus infected police officers were quarantined at their homes.

The police spokesman also said that families, including police colleagues infected with the coronavirus, would be tested for COVID-19.

Earlier, seven policemen on security duty outside the DHQ hospital in Sargodha tested positive for coronavirus.

Deputy Commissioner Abdullah Nayyar Sheikh said that Mushtaq Ahmed, Riaz Sikandar, Muhammad Saleem, Kamran Zafar, Rana Ajmal, Yasir Riaz and Rehmatullah were among the police personnel who fell victim to Coronavirus.

Abdullah Nayyar Sheikh also said that the victims of Corona are between 21 and 47 years of age. All the corona victims have been admitted to the isolation ward of DHQ Hospital.

Deputy Commissioner Abdullah Nayyar Sheikh further said that the houses of the police personnel who were victims of Corona have also been converted into quarantine while it has been decided to test the families of all the police personnel.
