Ben Stokes, England’s all-rounder, has proven himself the most humble person as he done something for a greater cause.

Ben Stokes has achieved a milestone after he has completed his first-half marathon to collect donations for Britain’s National Health Service (NHS) to battle against the deadly pandemic.

Stokes finished the marathon in one hour, 39 minutes and will donate the money to NHC Charities.

It is an organization which further holds 140 NHC charities including the national charity, ‘Chance to Shine’.

The cricketer took to Twitter to ask for further donations and informed about winning the run.

“I’ve just completed a half marathon to help NHC Charities by raising funds. It was all for a great cause,” he said.

He urges the British civilians to donate as much as they can in order to help the needy in these hard times.

Earlier, Ben Stokes had become the first Englishman since 2005 to be named as Wisden’s leading cricketer in the world.

Stokes played a key role in England’s World Cup victory in July and named man of the match in the final.

The 28-year-old scored a stunning 135 not out to lead England to a thrilling one-wicket victory over Australia in the third Ashes Test at Headingley.

England pace bowler Jofra Archer named as one of Wisden’s five Cricketers of the Year.

Australians Pat Cummins, Marnus Labuschagne and Ellyse Perry named alongside Archer, as well as Essex off-spinner Simon Harmer.
