The coronavirus pandemic in Pakistan is taking a worrying turn as yesterday after proving to be the worst day in the country in terms of fatalities, more cases and deaths reported today as well.
After the new cases and deaths in the country, the total number of cases so far is 68,177 while 1441 deaths have reported.
According to official figures, 2961 new cases and 78 deaths have been reported in one day.
Yesterday was the worst day in the country in terms of deaths due to coronavirus, 81 people lost their lives in one day.
This is the highest one-day death toll in the country in a three-month period.
Note that the first case of coronavirus was reported in the country on February 26, 2020, while the first death from this pandemic was reported in the country on March 18.
From February 26 to March 31, there were about 2,000 cases and 26 deaths in Pakistan.
Which rose to 385 by the end of the month in April, while the number of cases exceeded 16,000.
However, in the 29 days of May, the number of cases increased rapidly and more than 48,000 new cases and 979 deaths were reported.
Today (May 30) new cases and deaths were reported in the country. However, the number of recoveries also increased significantly.
In Sindh, 1247 more people were infected with the coronavirus, with the highest number of 38 deaths in a single day.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said that 5,481 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours in the province out of which 1247 were positive.
After these new cases, the total number of cases in the province has increased to 27,360.
He said that 38 deaths had reported in the last 24 hours in the province.
Murad Ali Shah said that 31 deaths were reported in one day yesterday and after 38 deaths today, the total number has reached 465.
Another 1140 new cases and 29 deaths due to coronavirus were reported in Punjab province.
According to the data released by the Directorate General of Health Services Punjab, 1140 new cases were reported in the province, bringing the total number to 24,104.
He said 29 more people lost their lives in the province, bringing the total death toll to 439.
Another 92 new cases of coronavirus and one death were confirmed in Islamabad.
According to official figures, the total number of victims has risen from 2,100 to 2,192 after the new cases surfaced in the last 24 hours.
In addition, the death toll rose from 22 to 23 after the death of another person.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department confirmed 473 more cases of the virus, bringing the total number of infected people in the province to 9,540.
Eight more deaths were confirmed from Coronavirus, bringing the death toll to 453.
Four of the new patients died in Peshawar, while one each in Charsadda, Swat, Buner and Abbottabad.
In Gilgit-Baltistan, 660 infected with the global pandemic.
According to statistics, 2 more people were infected with the virus in Gilgit-Baltistan.
The death toll there so far is nine.
Similarly, Azad Kashmir, which has been the least affected compared to other parts of the country, also reported seven new cases and deaths.
According to official figures, the number of victims has risen from 227 to 234 after the seven new cases.
