Coronavirus cases are increasing day-by-day in Pakistan. The number of confirmed cases in the country has reached 57,705 out of which 1,197 people have lost their lives whereas 18,314 people have recovered from the virus.
According to the sources, over 1,356 new cases have been reported today in Pakistan whereas 30 new deaths have been confirmed.
The number of active coronavirus infections is 38,194 so far.
Total tests conducted
According to sources, a total of 490,908 have been conducted in Pakistan so far.
Cases in different provinces
Sindh has the highest number of confirmed cases. There are 22,934 confirmed Covid-19 infections in Sindh whereas Punjab has 20,654 cases. Moreover, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has 8,080 confirmed infections whereas Balochistan has 3,468 confirmed cases.
Apart from that, the capital Islamabad has 1,728 confirmed cases, Gilgit-Baltistan has 630 confirmed cases and AJK has 211 cases.
Total deaths in provinces
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has reported the highest number of deaths due to Covid-19, 408 deaths. In Punjab, 352 people have lost their lives, Balochistan has reported 41 deaths whereas Sindh has reported 369 deaths. In addition to this, seventeen people have died in Islamabad whereas 2 people have died in AJK.
The Islamabad administration decided to open business activities 24 hours a day, according to the notification issued. Shopping malls, salon, barber shops and other shops allowed to open 7 days a week under certain SOPs. The notification states that shaking hands will prohibited while shop keepers and consumers must wear masks and gloves. The notification issued by the Islamabad administration further said that try rooms would be kept closed at clothing shops while shopkeepers would have to ensure social distance and use of sanitizers.
