A meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Coronavirus chaired by Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar took stock of the situation caused by the Coronavirus.
Under government recommendations, the administration, police and traffic wardens will be able to warn people who do not cover their mouths and noses.

In the meeting, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar said that a request would be made to provide 1500 ventilators from the federation – the instructions of the federation regarding opening of restaurants, cafes etc. would be followed.
On the other hand, Special Assistant for Health Dr. Zafar Mirza said that the rate of coronavirus spread in Pakistan at the local level is 92%, therefore the use of masks in public places is being made mandatory.
It should be noted that after the easing of lockdown, the number of corona cases in Pakistan has increased vastly, the number of corona cases in the country has reached more than 69,000.

Earlier, The government has made face masks mandatory in view of increasing cases of coronavirus and appealed to the people to wear masks in crowded places including public transport and markets.
Dr Zafar Mirza, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Health, said in a press conference that 532,000 coronavirus tests have been conducted in the country so far and 66,457 came positive so far while 1,395 people have died from the deadly pandemic.
