The number of coronavirus patients in Pakistan is increasing day by day and so far the total number of confirmed cases of global pandemic in the country has crossed 43,158 and the death toll has reached 923.
Today (May 18) there is an increase of 1858 cases in the country so far, according to official figures.
Note that the first case of coronavirus in the country reported on February 26, 2020 in Karachi with which various restrictions were imposed to stop the spread of the coronvirus pandemic and later lockdown was also imposed.
However, the federal and provincial governments had announced a phased relaxation from May 9 and public transport in various provinces is being restored from today.
Initially, the spread of the coronavirus in the country has been slow but with the passage of time, it is on the rise and after a period of about 3 months.

However, from May 1 to today (May 18), there have been more than 23,000 cases and nearly 900 deaths in Pakistan, which is very disturbing.
One of the reasons for the increase in the number of coronavirus cases in the country is the gradual increase in testing capacity, and a meeting of the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) on May 16 was informed that the first case of coronavirus was reported, since then, the testing capacity has been increased 30-fold and a record 14,878 tests were conducted on the same day on Saturday.

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said that in the last 24 hours, 864 people were confirmed to be infected with coronavirus, after which the number of infected people in the province rose to 17,241.
