Over 250 stranded Pakistanis have returned to Islamabad from Iraq through a special Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight.

Screening of passengers was conducted through a screening process and were taken to the quarantine facility. The flight was also disinfected after landing. Passengers will be permitted to go their homes once they test negative for coronavirus.

Earlier, 253 stranded Pakistanis had returned to Lahore from Toronto on Friday through a special PIA flight.

Several Pakistanis are stranded in different countries as flight operations have been suspended to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
