ISLAMABAD: President Arif Ali has written a letter to members of the National Assembly today (May 5).
The president wrote in a letter, the whole world, including Pakistan is in trouble. The only way to stop the spread of coronavirus is to take precautions.
Dr Arif also asks parliamentarians to keep in touch with doctors, paramedical staff and encourage them.
He said that the poor are in dire straits due to the lockdown during coronavirus pandemic.
He further advised MNAs to avoid going to the market unnecessarily and take the complete precautions.
Dr Arif Alvi said, the 20 SOPs have been designed and district administration, mosque committees should ensure implementation of the declaration.

President Arif Alvi reviews coronavirus situation in Balochistan
Earlier, President Dr. Arif Alvi has pressed upon the federal and provincial governments to continue a coordinated strategy to prevent spread of coronavirus pandemic.
He was speaking at a meeting to review Corona situation in Balochistan, after reaching Quetta on a one-day visit.
The President expressed satisfaction over Balochistan Government’s steps for extending effective cooperation to the poor people during lockdown.
Chief Secretary Balochistan Captain retired Fazeel Asghar briefed the President about provincial government’s measures for the containment of COVID-19.
