Famous scholar and chief of Pakistan Awami Tehreek Dr Tahir ul Qadri have said that coronavirus and politics should be kept separate.
According to details, Tahir-ul-Qadri said that the issue of coronavirus is the result of carelessness in the country.
He said, “We have suggested a curfew-style lockdown, no tough decisions have been taken and the situation has reached a point where the number of people affected by Corona has exceeded 72,000.”
Tahir-ul-Qadri said that the federation and the provinces should adopt a strong strategy to deal with COVID-19 and take maximum precaution so that the situation could improve.
Earlier, Ulema and Mashaikh have strongly supported the lockdown strategy of Prime Minister Imran Khan in the wake of coronavirus.
A delegation of religious scholars called on Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad on Monday and assurance him of full coordination to implement the decision of precautionary measures taken by the government.
The delegation included Pir Aminul Hasanat Shah, Pir Shams-ul-Amin, Pir Naqib-ur-Rehman, Maulana Mohammad Hanif Jalandhari, Maulana Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi, Maulana Hamidul Haq Haqqani, Hafiz Ghulam Mohammad Sialvi, Allama Raja Nasir Abbas, Sahibzada Pir Sultan Fayyaz Hussain, Mufti Maulana Syed Charagh Din Shah and Maulana Ziaullah Shah.
Governor Sindh Imran Ismail, Mufti Munib-ur-Rehman, Mufti Taqi Usmani also attended the meeting through video link.
It is to be noted that 72,460 people have been infected by coronavirus while 1,543 patients have been died of it.
