Coronavirus: Pakistan reports 3900 cases in a day, 43 deaths in Punjab

The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the country has reached 78 thousand 249 while the death toll has reached 1652.

To date, 3929 new cases and 78 deaths have been confirmed, according to official figures.

In addition, the number of people recovering has increased.

However, if you look at the increase in statistics in the country, it points to a worrying situation.

If we look at the increase in coronavirus cases in the country, it started after the first case came to light on February 26, and by March 31, the number of patients was about 2,000, while after the first death on March 18, this number has risen to the end of the month and reached at 26.

However, these cases increased in April and by the end of the month, the number of victims had crossed 16,000 and the death toll had risen to 385.

After which, in the month of May, the situation changed radically and in just 31 days, the number of cases increased by 54,000 while the number of deaths increased by more than 1,100 and the total number of cases increased by more than 71,000 and the number of deaths increased by 1,500.

Later, the beginning of June did not go well and in one day, according to the data compiled, the highest number of 3,252 new cases was recorded while 54 deaths were also reported.

Today (June 2) new cases and deaths reported in the country.

Sindh

Sindh recorded 1439 new cases in one day while 23 deaths occurred.

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said that 1439 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours in the province bringing the total number to 31,086.

He said that 23 people had died in the last 24 hours which brought the total number of deaths to 526 while at present there were 358 patients in critical condition.

Punjab

In Punjab, 1610 new cases and a record 43 deaths were reported in a single day.

Punjab Health Minister Yasmeen Rashid said that 1610 new patients tested positive for COVID-19  in the last 24 hours after which the total number of cases rose to 27850.

She said there were 43 deaths in 24 hours, bringing the number to 540.

Dr Yasmeen Rashid said that so far 7,116 patients have recovered and gone home.

Islamabad

In Islamabad, which was initially less affected by the virus, the number of cases is now increasing by hundreds instead of dozens.

According to the official website, 304 new cases were confirmed in one day in the federal capital while 2 people lost their lives.

Following the new figures, the number of affected people in Islamabad has risen from 2,589 to 2,893 so far.

Similarly, the number of deaths also increased from 28 to 30.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department confirmed 412 more cases of Coronavirus, bringing the total number of victims to 10,897.

The statement also confirmed the deaths of eight more patients, bringing the death toll from the virus to 490 in the province.

Three of the eight patients died in Peshawar while one died in Mardan, Swat, Kohat and Abbottabad Lower Dir.

Balochistan

According to the provincial health department, the number of infected people in Balochistan has risen to 4,514 after 121 new cases of coronavirus were reported.

The pandemic also claimed more lives in Balochistan, bringing the total number of deaths in the province to 49.

Gilgit-Baltistan

In Gilgit-Baltistan, the number of people infected with Coronavirus also increased.

According to the data, 27 more people were infected with the virus in Gilgit-Baltistan, bringing the total number of cases from 711 to 738.

Azad Kashmir

In Azad Kashmir, 16 more new cases of coronavirus were reported.

It should be noted that Azad Kashmir is currently the least affected area in the country.

Since then, the total number of people infected with the virus has risen from 255 to 271.
