President of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi visited Space Application and Research Centre today (Jun 23).

According to the details, the president has visited SPARC which is a subsidiary of Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO).

The sources said that General Nadeem Raza, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee accompanied President during the visit.

The sources of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that the President was briefed about the activities and achievements of SUPARCO in developing indigenous capabilities in space technology.

The President praised engineers & scientists of SUPARCO for their commendable services. He also assured complete support of the government in capacity improvement of the centre.

It is to be noted that Lieutenant General Nadeem Zaki Manj, Director General Strategic Plans Division (SPD) and Major General Amer Nadeem, Chairman SUPARCO received the dignitaries at the venue.

Earlier, President Dr. Arif Alvi visited the Upper House on Monday. The President called on Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjarani in his chamber.

During the meeting, arrangements for the budget meeting were discussed in detail. This is the first visit of the President to the Upper House, Senate Hall and Chairman Senate Chamber.

The President and the Chairman Senate during the budget session agreed on effective security measures for the protection of Member of Parliament and other concerned persons.
