Internet-connected ‘smart Face mask’ introduced

Due to the coronavirus, the use of face masks is now becoming compulsory around the world, and in view of this, a ‘smart face mask’ connected to the Internet has been introduced.

Japanese company Donut Robotics has introduced this smart face mask that can translate Japanese into 8 other languages and can make calls and send messages.

The white plastic ‘C mask’ fits over a normal face mask and can be connected to a smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth, which can then be used to send text messages, make calls or other tasks through applications.

Taisuke Ono, the company’s chief executive said that they been working hard for years to develop robots, and they have used this technology to develop products that deal with the effects of the coronavirus.

During the Pandemic, the company began working on a mask to ensure its survival.

The company’s initial 5,000 face masks will be available to consumers in Japan for the first time in September, with plans to sell them in China, the United States and Europe.

The mask is priced at $40 and will go on sale in the next few months, while the company’s customers will also be able to earn revenue through the app’s subscriber offer.

The company developed a prototype mask that included translation software designed for robots and the mask was designed by a company engineer who developed it for a student project 4 years ago.
