Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) MPA Mian Jamshed ud Din of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaaf (PTI) passed away on Wednesday due to Coronavirus complications.

Mian Jamshed had been receiving treatment at a hospital in Islamabad for the past few days.

Chief Minister Mahmood Khan condoled with the MPA’s family and prayed for the departed soul.

His funeral will be held in Nowshera’s Kaka Sahib.

Mian Jamshed ud Din served as the minister for excise and taxation during the previous government’s tenure.

Earlier, Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Munir Khan Orakzai, who tested positive for coronavirus last month, passed away on June 02.

According to Irfanullah, nephew of  Munir Khan Orakzai, the family got to know that the MMA lawmaker had passed away after he did not wake up for the Fajr prayers and was pronounced dead by doctors after being taken to the civil hospital in Tal.

MNA Munir Khan Orakzai was born on 6 September 1959 at Kurram. He had been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan since August 2018.
