When the Coronavirus cases began to spread in Wuhan, China, in December last year, the Chinese government announced a severe lockdown, leaving all citizens confined to their homes.

Among them a Chinese man in Wuhan who kept himself locked in his house for the entire five months and did not get out of the house even after the lockdown eased.

According to foreign media reports, a 26-year-old man in Wuhan, referred to only as Zhou, to protect his privacy, gained 100kg during a five-month lockdown, making him the fattest person in Wuhan.

Even before the Coronavirus pandemic, Zhou was obese, weighing over 100 kilograms, but he went out for work but since the lockdown, he has not been out of the house for a day, he gained 100 kg, after which he now weighs 280 kg.

A doctor at Wuhan University Central South Hospital who treated Zhou said he received a call one day stating that he had not slept for 48 hours and that he had gained weight in the lockdown and was now Medical treatment is needed.

The doctor said that after Zhou’s call, the director of the hospital was consulted and then an ambulance and medical staff were sent to his house and he was admitted to the hospital on June 1.

The hospital management said that several hospitals refused to take his case after which they finally contacted us and he was immediately admitted to the Obesity and Metabolic Center of the hospital. He has been shifted to a room but the treatment is undergoing.

Doctors say that Zhou suffers from a number of ailments due to obesity, such as abdominal pain, high blood pressure and high blood pressure.
