And we have developed some principles that we have followed to move the Ministry of Communications and the NHA towards e-governance and e-bidding.

Murad Saeed also said that in the past this ministry was held by former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif but still there is no comparison between the performance of NHA during his tenure and ours.

The Federal Minister said that the new projects to be launched by our government under PSDP in the next financial year include Sindh, Balochistan and KP projects on the western route of CPEC and from Sialkot to Kharian and Kharian to Rawalpindi. Plans are also happening to connect populated areas with GT Road to Rawalpindi.

Murad Saeed also said that in line with the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the NH has introduced e-governance and e-bidding system to move towards self-reliance, through a process of self-accountability in just 22 months. He said that Rs. 12 billion has been recovered and revenue has also been increased by Rs. 33 billion.

In his statement, Murad Saeed said that under the public sector development program (PSDP), 57 mega projects for construction of highways, motorways, flyovers and bridges have been included in the budget for the next financial year 2020-21. There will be no burden on the exchequer while every project will be cheaper and standardized than the previous ones in terms of cost and transparency.
