PM Imran Khan postpones ECC decision to lay off Steel mills employees

The decisions of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) have not been approved by PM Imran Khan.

According to details, a meeting of the federal cabinet was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Imran Khan in which the decisions of the ECC have been postponed.

It may be recalled that according to the decision of the ECC, 9350 employees of the steel mill were to be laid off, on which the federal cabinet has decided not to approve the decisions of the ECC after a long discussion.

On June 3, the ECC decided to lay off steel mill employees under the Golden Handshake.

It is to be noted that a detailed briefing was given to the Prime Minister regarding the dismissal of Steel Mills employees in the meeting of the Federal Cabinet after which the decisions of the ECC have been postponed.
