The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Executive Board has approved 3 investigations.

The Executive Board meeting chaired by the Chairman NAB approved investigations against former Sessions Judge Khizer Hayat and others.

According to the NAB statement, an investigation also approved against former Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly Sher Ali Gurchani.and  also approved against former Punjab Assembly member Ahmed Khan Baloch.

According to the statement, the NAB Executive Board meeting also approved to start 5 inquiries. Inquiry against former Punjab Assembly member Naeem Anwar, Saleem Khalid Mahmood and others.

Furthermore according to the statement, the inquiry against National Assembly member Ahsan-ul-Haq Bajwa, officers and officials of Public Health Engineering approved.

Speaking at the meeting, the Chairman NAB Justice (r) Javed Iqbal said that NAB was making serious efforts to eradicate corruption and for a corruption free Pakistan. He said that the first priority of NAB was to bring mega corruption cases to a logical conclusion. The NAB has no political affiliations and belongs only to the state of Pakistan.

Let it be known that last week, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) approved the probe into complaints against former federal health minister Amir Mahmood Kayani and special assistant to the prime minister Dr Zafar Mirza.

The anti graft body statement said that the Executive Board meeting chaired by the Chairman NAB also approved the inquiry against the officials of Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and CDA (Capital Development Authority). The meeting also reviewed the audit paras against the officers of the Ministry of Petroleum and approved to send the case of the officers to the Ministry of Petroleum for further legal action.
