Revenue of the province boosts from Rs 12 to 25 billion: Jam Kamal Khan

Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan has said that the revenue of the province has increased from Rs 12 billion to Rs 25 billion.

According to the details, Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan has said that the budget presented in the Assembly today did not ignore the opposition and funds have also been allocated for the opposition constituencies.

Jam Kamal Khan said that in the current situation, the best budget has been presented, the budget deficit will be met by Sui Gas and other institutions.

He said that the revenue of the province was earlier Rs 12 billion and this year it has been increased to Rs 25 billion. He hoped that the revenue of the province would be further increased next year.

Note that Finance Minister Mir Zahoor Baledi has presented the budget of Rs 460 billion for the year 2020-21 in the Balochistan assembly today.

According to the details, due to high expenditure, the budget deficit has been shown to be Rs 82 billion, 309 billion has been embarked for non-development projects in the budget of Balochistan and Rs 112 billion for development projects for the financial year 2020-21.

The budget estimated the revenue of the federation and the province at Rs 377 billion and the highest amount of Rs 70 billion has been allocated in the budget for education, Rs 48 billion for law and order, Rs 51 billion for economic affairs, Rs 11 billion in terms of social security, Rs 5 billion for district development program and Rs 57 billion has been set aside for general services.

In view of the prevailing situation of the Coronavirus, Rs 31 billion has been allocated for health.

SOPs have been ensured during the session, disinfection tunnels and sanitizers were also laid and unauthorized persons other than concerned secretaries and staff were barred from entering.

Budget proposals were approved before the budget session.
