According to details, the resumption of tourism in Saudi Arabia has been announced from June 21.
However, it was also said that other Arab countries will soon start tourism programs.
According to a foreign news agency, Saudi Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Khatib said that the tourism sector will be fully restored in the country from Sunday, June 21.
In this regard, Saudi Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Khatib said that tourism is a sector with 12% of the total employment.
The Saudi minister said that 13% of the gross national product of Arab countries comes from tourism.
During the meeting, he pointed out that there are more than 80 million employees in the tourism sector.
Ahmed al-Khatib said that all of them were seeing their jobs in danger due to the spread of the coronavirus.
He said Saudi Arabia would open the tourism sector for 24 hours from June 21, but Mecca would be an exception.
It should be noted that Ahmed Al-Khatib said that many countries have started tourism programs.
