Ahsan Iqbal reaches NAB to file a reference against the Prime Minister

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Ahsan Iqbal has filed a petition in the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) against Prime Minister Imran Khan for reference.

Talking to media in Islamabad, he said that it was alleged about Narowal Sports City that the project was started at a distance of 800 meters from the international border while it is far away from the Defense Society.

He said that this vengeful agenda has plunged Pakistan into the worst decision-making crisis, adding that NAB and Niazi’s alliance have wreaked havoc on the country.

He said that the cost of Narowal Sports City project was Rs 6 billion, baseless allegations were levelled against me, NAB judge admitted that I was not accused of financial corruption, he added.

Ahsan Iqbal said that Pakistan lost the sports project due to political retaliation of Imran Niazi. Chairman NAB has been referred. Make a case for loss of billions to the national project.

The PML-N leader further said that NAB convenes a meeting in two hours to appeal against our guarantees but NAB does not see the issue of wheat and sugar. PTI plunders Rs 300 billion from people’s pockets, no one asks, the biggest corruption scandal has taken place in BRT Peshawar.

He said that he will bring all references against PTI as the government is committing corruption with any fear and Imran Khan has become the biggest umbrella of corruption.

Ahsan Iqbal said that he has presented the case before NAB today and he hopes the NAB chairman will take notice.

It may be recalled that NAB had arrested PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal on December 23, 2019, in a case of alleged corruption in the construction of Narowal Sports Complex.

Later, on February 25, 2020, the Islamabad High Court granted bail to Ahsan Iqbal.
