Chairman CPEC Authority General Asim Saleem Bajwa has said that CPEC is promoting economic activities under the project.

According to details, Special Assistant to PM Imran Khan and Chairman CPEC Authority General (retd) Asim Saleem Bajwa said in a message on social networking site Twitter that economic activities at Gwadar port are in full swing.

In his message, Asim Saleem Bajwa also said that the cargo ship has reached Gwadar port with 17,000 tons of DAP fertilizer and this DAP will be sent to Afghanistan via Chaman on 550 trucks.

He wrote on Twitter, “#Gwadar Port Operstions:Ship carrying 17000 tons DAP arrived.Being transported to Afghanistan on 550 trucks 60% via Chamman.1st time bagging of bulk cargo been done locally instead of foreign ports.Local employment generated& transport business boosted #CPEC #CPECMakingProgress”

Chairman CPEC Authority General (Retd) Asim Saleem Bajwa further said that the first bargaining chip has been made locally while CPEC is promoting employment and economic activities under the project.

Earlier, the second meeting of the National Development Council was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Imran Khan in which the national development agenda, especially development projects in Baluchistan, was reviewed.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that development of road network and infrastructure in Baluchistan was essential for the benefit of CPEC projects.

The Prime Minister also said that ensuring law and order situation in Baluchistan and socio-economic development is the top priority of the government as financial resources have been provided to Baluchistan in the past but their proper utilization has been completely ignored.
