Karachi: The city administration has decided not to allow animal sacrifice on the streets on Eid-ul-Adha.
The administration said that Eid sacrifice would be allowed only at the slaughter points allotted by the Sindh government to ensure cleanliness and removal of animal remains on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.
The decision was taken in a meeting chaired by Commissioner Iftikhar Ali Shallwani.
The commissioner asked the deputy commissioners to implement the orders of the Sindh government and not allow anyone to sacrifice animals on the streets.
The meeting reviewed the contingency plans prepared by the Solid Waste Management Board, District Municipal Corporations and Cantonment Boards.
It was decided that the contingency plans would be further discussed with the concerned DCs in their offices and would be finalized after the joint meetings of the officials and the DCs.
It was also decided that on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, we will oversee the removal of debris and arrangements for dealing with the expected rains during the monsoon season.
