The government has issued a notification to the federal employees to pay their July salaries and pensions in advance before Eid.
According to the notification, on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha on July 31, government employees have been directed to pay their pensions and salaries on July 27.
Salary and pension will be paid in advance due to Eid-ul-Adha expenses.
Earlier, the Punjab government had issued a notification for payment of salaries and pensions till July 27.
Punjab Finance Department has issued letters to all District Accounts Offices.
It is to noted that the federal cabinet has approved an increase in EOBI’s pensions on Wednesday (July 1).
A meeting of the Federal Cabinet was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Imran Khan in which approval was given to increase the pension of Employees Old-Age Benefits Institution (EOBI).
According to sources, EOBI pensioners will now get Rs 8,500 instead of Rs 6,500.
