Hindutva ideology poses serious threat to peace and stability in the region: FM

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that India’s Hindutva Ideology and aggressive policies pose a serious threat to peace and stability in the entire region and India wants to sabotage peace efforts in Afghanistan.

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi chaired a high-level meeting at the Foreign Ministry on the law and order situation in the region.

The meeting was attended by Special Assistant for National Security Moeed Yousaf, Foreign Secretary Sohail Mahmood, senior military officials and senior Foreign Ministry officials.

The meeting discussed in detail the ongoing Indian aggression in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and the overall law and order situation in the region.

The meeting considered various proposals to draw the attention of the international community to the unilateral steps taken by the Indian government in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir on August 5, 2019, and to further highlight them, while regional security, including the Afghan peace process. Consultations were held on various issues.

The Foreign Minister said that India’s Hindutva Ideology and aggressive policies posed a grave threat to peace and stability in the entire region while seeking to sabotage peace efforts in Afghanistan.

He said that India was targeting civilians through the ongoing human rights violations in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and violations of the Line of Control (LOC) to cover up its internal weaknesses.

He said that Pakistan was raising the issue of Indian military killings and ongoing human rights violations in the Occupied Territories at every international and regional forum, including the United Nations, and was bringing the true face of the Indian government before the world.
