ISLAMABAD: Referring to Pak-Iran relations, the Iranian ambassador said that relations with Pakistan are based on mutual respect and mutual interests, therefore Iran considers Pakistan’s security as its own.

According to media reports, the Iranian ambassador, while discussing the case of Uzair Baloch, said that Iran strongly condemns any attempt to create instability in Pakistan. Iran has always played a positive role in establishing and maintaining regional security.

Talking about Pak-Iran friendship and bilateral relations, Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan Syed Mohammad Ali Hosseini said that the two countries have a long record of fraternal and friendly relations, relations with Pakistan are based on mutual respect and mutual interests.

He said that Iran has always suppressed the factors that create regional instability and Iran has played a significant role in rooting out terrorist groups.

The Iranian ambassador said they were ready to work together to address common borders and security concerns.

He further added that misunderstandings are created due to the deceptions of third forces and Tehran insisted on immediate and necessary redressal of such possible misunderstandings.
