Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday said that less developed areas of the country cannot be ignored any further.

According to the details, Prime Minister Imran Khan addressed a public gathering in Chillas today.

He said wrong decisions taken in the past by the then governments have created a bad impact on the environment and decline in industrial progress.

Referring to the Diamer-Bhasha dam project, Imran Khan said it was a historic decision to construct the project that will be the ‘third biggest dam of the history of Pakistan’.

Diamer Basha Dam, a vital project for water, food, and energy security of Pakistan, is being constructed on River Indus, 315 Kilometer (Km) upstream of Tarbela Dam, 180 Km downstream of Gilgit, and 40 Km downstream of Chilas town.

The Diamer-Bhasha Dam has a generating capacity of 4,500 MW and the project will provide 18 billion units of hydropower to the national grid every year.
