Pakistan Army called for civil administration in Karachi: ISPR

Pakistan Army has been called for civil administration in Karachi.

A press release has been issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stating that the Pakistan Army has been called for civil administration in Karachi.

ISPR said that the army has been called in to deal with the situation of urban flooding in Karachi while the army will assist the civil administration.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has said in a message on his social networking website that he has directed the Chairman NDMA as well as the Pakistan Army to start cleaning work in Karachi.

He wrote on Twitter, “I have asked the NDMA Chairman to go to Karachi immediately and start the clean up in the aftermath of the rain.”

The Prime Minister further said that the Armed Forces of Pakistan have also been asked to join hands in cleaning the city.

PM Imran Khan directed the Chairman NDMA to reach Karachi immediately and directed Nadeem Afzal to clean Karachi immediately after the rains.

Earlier, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail had a meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan. Issues across Sindh including Karachi were also discussed during the meeting.
