The Punjab government has extended the lockdown in the province by 15 days till July 30 amid the outbreak of novel coronavirus.
Educational institutions, hotels, and wedding halls will remain closed until July 30, 2020. According to the notification, the ban on public gatherings will also remain in place.
Secretary Primary and Secondary Health Care Captain (Retd) Muhammad Usman, issued the notification, according to which educational institutions, wedding halls, restaurants and cinema halls will remain closed till July 30.
Social and religious gatherings and sports activities will be barred.
The notification will take effect immediately and will remain in effect until July 30.
The dates of the Smart Lockdown areas will be as per the relevant notification.
Food and grocery stores will be open all week from 9 am to 7 pm, while all churches will be open for worship only on Sundays from 7 am to 5 pm.
Earlier on June 30, the Punjab government had extended the lockdown by 15 days and imposed a lockdown till July 15.
