Lahore: Voices have been raised in the Assembly regarding the ban on video-sharing mobile application TikTok in Pakistan.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and member of Seemabia Tahir has submitted a resolution in the Punjab Assembly regarding the ban on TikTok.

The text of the resolution submitted by Seemabia Tahir said, “Religions are being ridiculed in Pakistan through TikTok videos and obscenity is spreading due to mobile applications.”

The resolution said, “The new generation is being pushed to the brink of disaster by talking nonsense on Tik Tak. There are no restrictions on the videos shared on the platform and there is no legal arrest.” ‘

Seemabia Tahir wrote that TikTok videos are also being used for blackmailing due to which so far many people have committed suicide and lost their precious lives.

The resolution tabled in the House demanded that “the Punjab Assembly calls on the Federal Government to impose a complete ban on TikTok in order to save the younger generation”.
