Country cannot afford sectarian clashes, says Mufti Muneeb

Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman, chairman of the Central Ruwit-e-Hilal Committee and a well-known religious scholar, said that sacrifice is the worship to Allah and there can be no alternative like financial charity to it.

Addressing a press conference in Karachi, Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman said that it was against the Qur’an and Sunnah to talk about financial charity instead of sacrifice based on circumstances.

Mufti Muneeb said that in the meeting with the representatives of Sindh government, the government was agreed to set up cattle markets outside the city.

Cattle markets should be walled up, maximum collective sacrifice should be organised.

Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman said that those who buy sacrificial skins should move their skins to safer centers, clean the places of sacrifice and spray disinfectants, government should ensure prevention of arrival of sick animals in cattle markets and also ensure the SOPs.

Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman said that people should give priority to religious organizations and madrassas for collective sacrifice, children should not be taken to cattle market, animals should not be allowed to roam in the streets and exhibitions should not be set up.

He said that all issues have been settled with the government and cattle markets will be set up outside the city to keep the urban population safe.
