The court has indicted former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and other accused in a case of illegal recruitment in Pakistan State Oil (PSO).
According to the details, the accused denied the charge in the court room, after which notices have been issued to the investigating officer and witnesses on the denial of the accused.
The sources said that NAB officials also told the court the accused had caused a loss of Rs138 million.
Karachi accountability court has adjourned the hearing till August 28, 2020.
The Sindh High Court has granted interim bail to Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and former Petroleum Secretary Arshad Mirza.
Earlier, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader and former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi appeared before National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in liquefied natural gas (LNG) gas.
According to details, the combined investigation team has handed over the questionnaire related to supplementary reference to the PML-N leader.
While addressing media Abbasi said Accountability must be in accordance with the law. Abbasi said he was happy that for the first time, question regarding tax has been asked.
