Pakistan limited overs skipper Babar Azam set the bar high by stating that he aims to score a century in the upcoming T20 series against England.

The 25-year-old was disappointed with his performance during the test match series against the cricketing giants England who eventually won the series 1-0 because of two draws due to rain.

The captain of the Pakistani side stated that: “I always try to play as well as I can. It is one of my goals to score a century in T20Is and to be honest, my aim is to score one in this series. t’s disappointing that I couldn’t convert my starts into big scores, but I will learn from these mistakes. I have analyzed those in order to get better in the forthcoming series”

The Pakistani team has reached Manchester for their T20 series against hosts England. The series is to start from the 28th of august.

The skipper and currently the best ranked batsman in T20, seemed optimistic about the upcoming matches due to the Pakistan’s form in T20 and the introduction of new talents found in the Pakistan Super League.

“He is a great talent and an outstanding player. We have tried to involve him in this group. He is playing well in nets and also in the practice matches,” said Babar about emerging batsman Haider Ali who will debut for the national side.
