Great apologies done by Netflix right after its promotional stuff for a French-language movie “Cuties”  developed complaints that it was sexualizing growing teenage girls.

The award-winning “Cuties” (“Mignonnes”) serves a black 11-year-old girl Amy. It defines as she gets up in a working-class district of Paris, challenges her parents, and becomes conscious of her burgeoning passion.

The advertisement supporting the movie in France presents four colorfully costumed girls flinging confetti as they step up a path.

Nevertheless, in the United States and abroad, Netflix took a picture presenting the four immature actresses pretending in skintight dresses, exposing their legs.

“We’re deeply sorry for the inappropriate artwork that we used for Mignonnes/Cuties. It was not OK, nor was it representative of this French film which won an award at Sundance,” Netflix announced on Twitter late on Thursday night.

“We’ve now updated the pictures and description.”

Thousands expressed and signed an appeal asking the movie’s elimination from the Netflix platform. It is expected to be run from September 9, representing the movie as “disgusting” and “for the viewing pleasure of pedophiles.”

Social media users centered on Netflix images and creativity, encouraging them to recreate the storm towards the hugely successful streaming program.

French-Senegalese woman Maimouna Doucoure directed it; the movie premiered at Sundance Film Festival in the US and the Berlin festival, winning awards at both of them.
