KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has declared a rain emergency in the province.
According to the details, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah reviewed the situation after the rain on Faisal Main Street at the nursery and directed to call the Chief Secretary and issue a notification for implementation of Rain Emergency.
Chief Minister Sindh directed to cancel the leaves of all government employees. All the employees on leave were directed to report to their departments.
Sindh government spokesman Murtaza Wahab also confirmed the imposition of rain emergency in the province on social networking site Twitter.

It is to be noted that torrential rains across Sindh including Karachi disrupted the life system, roads in Karachi turned into ponds, and water entered houses while electricity was suspended in most areas.
On the other hand, a landslide took place near Gulistan-e-Jauhar Munawar Chowrangi. Several vehicles and motorcycles were buried due to the landslide. Police and rescue agencies have left for the site.
Heavy rains are also continuing in different cities of Sindh. Hyderabad, Mirpur Khas, Tando Muhammad Khan, Thatta, and Sajawal were submerged in water. The power supply was suspended in many areas.
Heavy rains flooded Hyderabad, Latifabad, Qasimabad became ponds, water entered houses, many areas lost power, Mirpur Khas has water for hours due to continuous rains, roads began to look like a river, Vehicles and motorbikes were stopped, residents of the area are facing severe difficulties.
