The main accused in the motorway robbery and gang-rape case, Abid Ali was booked into 9 criminal cases prior to his involvement in the motorway case, media sources reported on Wednesday.
According to details, the main accused Abid was booked in seven cases in Khichiwala police station while one case was registered against him in Fort Abbas police station. A new case against him was discovered from Faqeerwali police station in Bahawalpur, where he is booked in a 2019 robbery case along with the co-accused Babar Ali and another person.
Earlier on Tuesday, it emerged that the prime accused in the motorway gang rape case Abid Ali had been previously arrested four times over his involvement in different criminal activities.
According to the details, the accused Abid Ali is a paid killer and has murdered people in exchange for small amount of money. The details furthered described that besides being a paid killer, he is also in touch with various absconders.

Last week on Tuesday a woman who was traveling with her children on the Lahore-Sialkot motorway was robbed and gang-raped in front of her children after she was stranded after running out of fuel. the incident sparked a controversy across the country.
Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar had earlier expressed determination to solve the motorway rape case as soon as possible. Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday last week took strict notice of the robbery and gang rape case on the Lahore Islamabad motorway.
According to a tweet from the Prime Minister’s office, the PM had taken strict notice of the rape incidents and have stated that the protection of women is the government’s top priority.
