ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan during a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan expressed his desire to work with Uzbekistan.
According to details, Uzbek Deputy Prime Minister for Investment Umurzakov met with Prime Minister Imran Khan, during which the two leaders exchanged views on the Coronavirus Pandemic, bilateral cooperation, regional ties and peace and security.
Trade Adviser Razzaq Dawood was also present on the occasion. Prime Minister Imran Khan said that Pakistan and Uzbekistan have cordial and friendly relations.
Prime Minister Imran Khan said that there is no military solution to the conflict in Afghanistan, but a peaceful and stable Afghanistan is important for Pakistan and the region.
The prime minister also discussed regional connectivity and trade through railway projects with the Uzbek deputy prime minister.
On the occasion, the Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan said that President Mirziyoyev is looking forward to his visit to Pakistan.
The Prime Minister expressed Pakistan’s desire to strengthen bilateral and mutually beneficial cooperation in the region and to work closely with Uzbekistan.
